My first two tables and this, my seventh, used wagon wheel rims my girlfriend, now wife, and I found in our wanterings about Boulder County in the 60's.   I still have the first two and use them in my house. This one is now in my son's house. It is the last table I made using a wagon wheel rim.  The rims for sale at antique malls are just too expensive for me to make a profit on.

 I've developed a techinque to weather thin steel strips to look like wagon wheel rims, but its not the same.
