My first table top used ceramic tiles I made in a summer pottery class.  Since then almost every table I've made has used local Lyons sandstone I get from local quarries and stone yards.   Every now and then I find interesting slabs that are not lyons sandstone.

This table uses one of them.  My original intent was to cut this slab up into focus stones I could surround with Lyons sandstone.  Then I found the base in a local thrift shop and realized this white sandstone top would look good on it.
