I forgot where I found this wonderful wrought iron base. My wife and I regularly visit local thrift shops and garage sales where I sometimes find metal bases that complements my stone tops. I have over 10 bases waiting for tops and I can't remember where or when I got most of them.
I generally don't forget where I find the rocks, I found the large slab of rhyolyte at a rock shop in Estes Park and I found the blue limestone rock at a shop on US24 west of Colorado Springs.
In any case I have an inventory of rocks and bases that I use to make my tables. Its fun to add to the inventory. I especailly enjoy working with a customer to find the rocks and bases to make a table that complements thier living space.
I don't forget the story behind each table, and am more than willing to share it with anyone who asks.
