It was really fun putting this top together!  I got the slabs of colorado florite from my cousin's rock shop in Golden Colorado.  My wife Judy found the broken slate tile in one of our trips to the local recycling center in Boulder.  They were all sitting in my shop until I tried to figure out what I wanted to put on a 36" x 18" table top.   I started with the slate tile and found the fluorite slabs as I worked my way through stones in my inventory.  Once the design was fixed, it was easy to fill in the gaps with red Lyons sandstone.  I liked the result. So did my daugher-in-law who now has it.

I've used up my supply of fluorite slabs and the slate tile was one of kind.
