Left Hand 149

Left Hand 149

This natural stone topped table is inspired by the Boulder Colorado environment. Natural sandstone from nearby quarries in Lyons are used in buildings on the iconic University of Colorado campus.  Chief Niwot, who was left handed, is famos for saying that anyone who sees the Boulder valley it driven by destiny to return.  Chief Niwot was not Hopi, but the left hand here references the local indian tradition.  The hand symbol was cut from a slab of  pure white Greek Thassos marble. It's surrounded by Lyons sandstone, black grout, and a thin steel band. It sits on a recycled metal base.

Anyone who lives now or should be moving back here will appreciate the symbolism.

Use this as a coffee table, side table, or entry way table.
